Chef Wee is a Malaysian born chef whose passion aims to introduce his take on contemporary French dining to the developing Penang culinary scene. Despite his local roots, Chef Wee has gained international experience with training under renowed Chef Julien Royer, Former Executive Chef of Jaan and the present owner of the latest "Best Restaurant in Asia", Odette in Singapore. He further honed his culinary skills at Robuchon au Dōme Jōel Robuchoin in Macau before returning home, applying his new refound knowledge to lead in Macalister Mansion' newest dining experience, BLANC.
